MCHS Senior of the Month: Ashley Balducci

MCHS Senior of the Month: Ashley Balducci is the daughter of Audra Hart Bing. Ashley credits her mother, Audra, for her being the strong independent student that she is and adds that her mother has been there for long talks, long car rides, and a support system for her as she has visited different colleges trying to find the perfect fit. Ashley is currently in the HOSA club, FCCLA, YOVASO, and is a member of the Youth Life Ministry. She is the MCHS Senior Class Secretary and plays on the MCHS Varsity Basketball Team. Ashley is also a member of the BETA club and competed at the BETA State Conference for History the last two years placing twice at the state level. She hopes to place again this year. Ashley also attended the National Competitions for BETA traveling to Disney World, Florida, and Nashville, TN. She obtained her CNA certification through the school’s CNA program and added that the CNA program was one of the best parts of her Junior year experience. Ashley completed 50 hours of community service and hopes to reach 100 total hours by the end of the school year. Her hobbies include reading, writing poems, taking photos of the world, and playing with her puppy, Dixie Lynn. Ashley currently works part-time at Food Lion and is an intern for The Shops of South Hill. She is on track to graduate with an Advanced Diploma and her Associate's Degree from SVCC. She picked up two extra classes at SVCC as well. Ashley holds a 4.0 GPA and hopes to attend a four- year college and major in pre-med Biology. After graduating college, Ashley hopes to attend PA school to become a Physician Assistant. Mecklenburg County High School is proud to have Ashley Balducci represent our Senior of the Month.
