CLARKSVILLE -The 2019 Kinderton Country Club Championships were played last weekend (August 3rd and 4th) at the club. Thirty-nine men and seven woman participated in the two- day 36 hole event.
There were three divisions -Regular Men, Senior Men and Ladies with three flights in the Regular men, two flights in the Seniors and one flight in the Ladies.
Jaye Newcomb won the Regular Club Championship with a 36 hole score of 144, which was two strokes over par for the 36 holes. Carl Freeman was second with a two day score of 149. Nick Carter won Low Net in the First Flight with a 135 Net.
Koy Griffin took First Place in the Second Flight with a 165. Mark Bullock was runner-up in the Second Flight one stroke back with a 166. Rob Newman was Low Net with a 145. Charles Wagstaff took first place in the Third Flight with a two-day score of 166. Chris Pearson was runner-up in the Third Flight with a 167.
Randy Weary was Low Net in the flight with a 149. Carl Freeman won the President’s Cup (lowest net score in the regular flight) with a 131.
Tyler Howerton took first place in the First Flight of the Senior Division with a 144. Bill Carter finished second in Flight one of the Senior Division with a 156.
Doug Wilkinson was first Low Net with a 128.
Jerry Burnett took first place in the Second Flight of the Senior Division with 167. Bill Owen was second with a 169. Bill Woodfin won Low Net with a 132.
Tyler Howerton won the President’s Cup in the Senior Division with a 123.
Janet Trimmer won first place in the Ladies Division in a sudden death play off over Judy Shepard. Both players shot 171 for the 36 holes. Judy Priode won first Low Net with a 130. She also won the President’s Cup in the Ladies Flight with a 130.
In the extra achievement awards: Charles Wagstaff won closest to the flag on hole # 3 for the regular flight.
