NOTTOWAY COURT HOUSE - The Bluestone Barons' soccer stretched their winning streak to three with a 6-0 win over the Nottoway County Cougars last Wednesday at Nottoway.

The match started off with the Barons maintaining the ball. In the 17th minute Cooper Carter scored on a long header from Evan Newton.

In the 37th minute Carter scored again on an assist from Ethan Parker to go up 2-0.

The 1st half ended with the Barons up 2-0.

Bluestone started the second half by controlling the ball. In the 9th minute Gabe Giammatteo sent a pass to Carter, who scored again for his 3rd hat trick of the year. This upped the score to 3-0.

In the 14th minute Xavier Sturdifen "plowed" through Nottoway's defense to score to make the score 4-0.

In the 17th minute Kyleigh Brown scored on a corner kick from Carter to run the score to 5-0.

In the 18th minute of the second half Thomas Overton scored to make the score 6-0.

According to Coach Thomas Wells the Barons the ball for most of the contest.

The Bluestone defense allowed only three shots from Nottoway and kept the ball played forward along with the midfield to create scoring opportunities.

It was a well played game by the Barons.
