SKIPWITH - The Bluestone Barons even their 2018 record with a 74-53 win over the Randolph Henry Statesmen last Tuesday at Bluestone. The Barons had even their record at 1-1 after losing their opener to Park View 69-66 at Park View.
The Barons had four players in double figures with Nile Atwater leading the way with 25 points. Chris Gregory and Michael Harris followed with 21 points each and Jordan Hill added 12 point.
Brenden Francisco led the Statesmen with 11 points.
The game started out tight with the score tied 14-14 after the first quarter of play. Atwater led Bluestone with 7 points ,with Ryetwon Callahan leading the Statesmen with five points.
In the second quarter the Barons outscored Randolph Henry 21 to eight to build a 35-22 half time lead behind Gregory's nine points.
Harris added 11 points in the third quarter to build Bluestone's lead to about 56 to 36. Francisco and Bullock had five and four points, respectively.
Randolph Henry outscored Bluestone 14 to 11 in the fourth quarter to make the final score 74-54.
The Barons will travel to Prince Edward on Friday, December 7 and return home on Tuesday, December 11 before the Christmas break.
