Officials remain tight lipped after a fight at Bluestone High School in Skipwith sent one student to the hospital with a concussion.

The incident took place at Bluestone on Friday afternoon but no details about the incident have been revealed.

Paul Nichols, Superintendent of Mecklenburg Schools was quoted as saying that “appropriate disciplinary action was taken,” after the incident but was unable to comment further.

According to Major Terry Edmonds of the Mecklenburg Sheriff's Office, no charges had been filed as of early this week.  He did not rule out the possibility that charges could be forthcoming after the conclusion of an investigation into the incident.

On Thursday afternoon, two female students at Park View High in South Hill were engaged in an altercation.  No one was hurt in the incident.  Disciplinary action was taken, according to officials.
