What authorities have called “a long term investigation” has led to the arrest of at least ten people in the Southside area on a variety of drug and firearm charges. The arrests came following a raid conducted by the Tri- County Drug and Gang Task Force on Thursday in homes in Mecklenburg, Charlotte and Lunenburg Counties. Drugs including methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, cocaine and pharmaceutical narcotics as well as numerous firearms were seized in the raids.
Also, the investigation led to charges of Child Neglect and Distribution of Drugs near a School. Charges in the arrests include distribution of methamphetamine; distribution of cocaine; manufacture of marijuana; possession of marijuana with the Intent to distribute; possession of cocaine with intent to distribute; possession of firearms while in possession of schedule II narcotics; possession of heroin; possession of schedule I or II substance.
Arrested last week was Travis Wade Hamlett of Phenix, Randolph S. Kube of Charlotte Court House, Donald Wayne Toombs of Keysville, Vern Allen Musante of Randolph, William Courtney Jones of Red House, Carrie R. Hostetter of Red Oak, John Vaughan of Victoria, Robert Earl Dix of Keysville, Jessie Ray Mullins of Buffalo Junction and Lindsey Pettus-Chase City.
As of the weekend, authorities were said to still be looking for Donald Carnell Bass of Red Oak, Timothy Wayne Dooley of Victoria, Chet Atkins of Keysville, Stacy Joan Coleman of Chesapeake, Charles Moore, IV of Chesapeake, Jose Miquel Serrano of Kenbridge, Steven Michael Serrano of Victoria,
