On Sept. 8, Deputy Kenneth Johnson was dispatched to Ivy Hill Boat Landing where the victim advised Johnson that while fishing, someone had broken into the toolbox on the victim’s pickup and stole some tools.

 

On Sept. 6, Deputy Kenneth Johnson was dispatched to 166 Walnut Grove, Clarksville, for a call of a domestic assault. At the completion of Johnson’s investigation, Kevin Pawson, 40, of same address was arrested for domestic assault and transported to Meherrin River Regional Jail, where warrant and protective order were served on him.

Pawson was released on $2,500 unsecured bond.

 

On Sept. 6, Deputy Jamie Thomas, while on patrol in Bracey, observed a red colored Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Jeremy Brown, 35, of South Hill, and Thomas had personal knowledge that Brown was suspended from previous encounters with him. Brown was arrested for driving on suspended license and transported to MRRJ, where warrant for driving on suspended license was served. He was given a $4.500 secured bond.

 

On Sept. 5, Deputy Justin Burch responded to 1099 Old National Highway, Clarksville, for a call of a domestic assault. At the completion of Burch's investigation, he arrested Crystal Hudson, 34, of the same address. Hudson was transported to MRRJ, where warrant and protective order were served, and Hudson was remanded to jail with no bond.

 

On Sept. 5, Deputy Levy Thompson, while on patrol on Burlington Drive and highway

15 south in Clarksville, observed a vehicle driving erratically. Thompson stopped the vehicle on Highway 15 north, and while Thompson was checking the driver's license information on the driver, Deputy Bruce King deployed K-9 Bak for an open air sniff. K-9 Bak alerted on the vehicle. Search of the vehicle recovered a clear plastic bag containing pieces of aluminum foil inside. After advising the two subjects of their Miranda, the passenger advised that the bag contained cocaine. The passenger, identified as Kevin Saunders, 45, of Chase City, was arrested and transported to MRRJ, where warrant for possession of schedule 1 or 11 substance was obtained and served. Saunders was remanded to jail with no bond.
