Three arrested for graduation altercation in Halifax

A fight during Halifax County High School’s graduation has led to three arrests with one suspect still wanted. 

On May 26, during Halifax County High School’s graduation four people were involved in an altercation that led to warrants being issued. 

In total eight charges were made against the four involved including charges of Disorderly Conduct and Assault and Battery. 

The first arrest was made on June 3, Moses Hendren of South Boston was arrested and charged with one count of Disorderly Conduct and two counts of Assault and Battery. 

Hendren is being held at the Halifax Adult Detention Center awaiting trial. 

Following Hendren’s arrest, two of the other suspects were arrested on June 8 by Deputy C. Martin of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office. 

Kavon Fitzgerald, 19, of South Boston and Tyjae Hendren, 18, of South Boston were both arrested and charged for their involvement in the fight. 

T. Hendren was charged with one count of Disorderly Content and one count of Assault and Battery. 

Fitzgerald received a charge of Disorderly Conduct. 

There are also two warrants of Disorderly Conduct and Assault and Battery outstanding for a 23-year old female from Clover for her involvement in the fight.
